About My Approach

I’m a Marriage and Family Therapist, which means I’m trained to see people in the context of their relationships and the systems they live in—family, work, school, and community. We don’t exist in isolation, and the challenges we face often make more sense when we look at the bigger picture.

If you’ve ever wondered why you react the way you do, why certain thoughts keep coming up, or why your body tenses in certain situations, therapy can help you explore those patterns. Using a systems-informed approach, we can look at how your relationships, past experiences, and environment might be shaping your responses. This systems-informed perspective helps me work with you in a way that’s practical and realistic, addressing the connections that matter most in your life.

I also take a relational approach to therapy, which means I focus on building a genuine, trusting connection with you first. Change and growth happen best in the context of a safe relationship, so our work together starts with understanding your story and the parts of you that show up in everyday life. I also blend parts-based work, narrative therapy, and mindfulness/self-compassion approaches to help you identify goals, gain a deeper understanding, and create meaningful change.
